Dr Heitzman administered a couple of injections that eased the pain for several hours, which was perfect since his staff rearranged the schedule so I could have my procedure the second day. There are so many practitioners that could take lessons from him and his staff on how to interact with patients who are in pain or simply don’t feel well. "I had 2 extractions done back in 2011. It was a great experience. Last in April of this year I had to get 2 more extractions and I wanted Dr Heitzman to do my extractions. He is the best in Bay County. His staff is very pleasant and his assistants made me feel both safe and comfortable during the process. Upon waking up although a bit out of it I felt no pain. I did not have to take any of the pain medication prescribed. I think that is because Dr Heitzman is gental and careful regarding how he extracts the tooth.If you need extractions I highly recommend trusting Dr. Heitzman. He is the best in Bay County and comes highly recommended."

"I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! I was very nervous about having my wisdom teeth removed at 34 years old. Most people said the process was very painful and the recovery time was long, but the exact opposite was my experience with bay oral and facial surgery. All the nurses and dentist were kind, funny and put me at ease. The pain from the surgery was very minimal and the recovery time was only a few days. If you have to get this surgery done, this is the place to do it! I couldn’t be happier with my experience."

"I found Dr. Scott Heitzmann to be extremely thorough and professional. I scheduled an appointment for the end of February. Because of my concern, I asked to be placed on a waiting list.They called me 3 days later and let me know that they had an opening the next day for my consultation. Dr. Heitzmann spent a lot of time with me explaining things and answering all my questions. Never, did I feel rushed. After my consultation yesterday, I was told they had an opening this morning, so I took it and had my procedure done. "I had a badly compromised wisdom tooth that couldn't be capped, and needed to be extracted. I was forewarned the roots may be fused to the bone, equating to added risk of extracting broken roots...I was expecting the worst. But I was pleasantly surprised with my recovery, not only with a clean extraction, but I experienced no pain beyond mild soreness, not even requiring any Ibuprofone in the days after. The entire staff is wonderful, and both my wife & I have had great experiences here. Highly recommend."

Wife drove me home and really the next thing I remember is it was 5 hours later on the couch.all I needed was a little ibuprofen..I followed his written instructions tons and they even called me that same day. I have no residual numbness or loss of sensation d/T proximity of extracted tooth to facial nerve. It’s two days later and business as usual. Will definitely be using him for any and all complicated dental procedures."

"Dr Heitzman was really great...very personable and warm! He asked what was going on, listened well, took a look and then explained what was happening medically and what our options were. Exactly what you in and from an oral surgeon! We didn't feel rushed...he took a lot of time to explain about the dangers of mouthwash containing alcohol (think oral cancer). He convinced us to switch to alcohol free mouthwash after the biopsy on the tongue lesion! Eek! It's for real, people!!!"

"Dr. Heitzmann is an excellent doctor with a great staff. I get very anxious when having to have work done to my teeth. He explained everything and put me at ease when I had to have a molar extracted. After 7 days and still in a great deal of pain his office worked me in so I could be assured there was no infection. He is friendly and patient and takes the time to answer all questions. He will be my 'go to' anytime I need further procedures."
