He is honest, forthright, and focused on doing the right thing for his patients, up to and including decisions to forego high risk options in favor of other options that are more advantageous to his patient, though it would mean his services would no longer br required. He totally deserves the stellar reputation he enjoys. I 100% recommend him to anyone needing oral surgery."

"I had 2 extractions done back in 2011. It was a great experience. Last in April of this year I had to get 2 more extractions and I wanted Dr Heitzman to do my extractions. He is the best in Bay County. His staff is very pleasant and his assistants made me feel both safe and comfortable during the process. Upon waking up although a bit out of it I felt no pain. I did not have to take any of the pain medication prescribed. I think that is because Dr Heitzman is gental and careful regarding how he extracts the tooth.If you need extractions I highly recommend trusting Dr. Heitzman. He is the best in Bay County and comes highly recommended."
"I couldn’t have asked for a better experience! I was very nervous about having my wisdom teeth removed at 34 years old. Most people said the process was very painful and the recovery time was long, but the exact opposite was my experience with bay oral and facial surgery. All the nurses and dentist were kind, funny and put me at ease. The pain from the surgery was very minimal and the recovery time was only a few days. If you have to get this surgery done, this is the place to do it! I couldn’t be happier with my experience."

"I had a badly compromised wisdom tooth that couldn't be capped, and needed to be extracted. I was forewarned the roots may be fused to the bone, equating to added risk of extracting broken roots...I was expecting the worst. But I was pleasantly surprised with my recovery, not only with a clean extraction, but I experienced no pain beyond mild soreness, not even requiring any Ibuprofone in the days after. The entire staff is wonderful, and both my wife & I have had great experiences here. Highly recommend."

"I arrived for my scheduled molar extraction 15 minutes early and 30 minutes later I was in the waiting room with my molar removed. Dr. Heitzman and his staff were friendly and professional and after receiving my IV sedative I woke in the waiting area with no pain and my molar removed. "No one likes going to the dentist, but they really don’t like knowing they have been sent to a surgeon for a tooth extraction. I have had a horrible experience before and was terrified of having anything done with my teeth. Dr. Heitzmann and staff made me feel at ease with my first appointment. "I just got done the consultation for getting my wisdom teeth removed and the staff there and Dr. Heitzmann went to great lengths to fit me into the schedule last minute, explain to me everything involved in the procedure, and were very clear with estimates, pricing, and different options. Although anxieties are high, I feel confident with the team handling my care. Thank you all for accommodating me on short notice and I'll update again after the procedure.UPDATE: almost a year later and I've gotten all 4 wisdom teeth and another problem tooth removed through Dr. Heitzmann and his team. "Something you might not hear everyday but I had a great experience getting my wisdom teeth taken out and the staff is very nice and remembered my name after one visit! They also went through what the process was, warned me of any potential complications, and did a followup check up and call in post op to make sure I was good. "i was terrified to have this done and put it off for a while. but i’m on my second day and im completely fine. these surgeons are absolutely amazing, i really had nothing to worry about. they’re genuine and walk you through before you go under so you know exactly what’s happing and when they’re going to do. 30 minutes later with 4 impacted teeth and one tooth that was completely sitting sideways the surgery went smoothly. i recommend them 100%"

I was in so much pain and thankfully, they had an opening the next morning. I’m still just stunned on how I had a wisdom tooth extracted and I had no pain at all. None. 0. I expected to feel something after the numbing agent wore off but still, I didn’t. I was able to attend a party the very next night! He is the absolute best. He’s very personable, polite, understanding, and confident. He’s going to tell you the options and even what he thinks is best. This is what an expert looks like. "Dr. Heitzmaan is the best. I have had 4 implants over the last 10 years. I had 2 that were failing due to loss of bone and he rescued both of them.His office personnel are efficient, friendly and on schedule.I would recommend Dr. Heitzmaan to anyone who wants the best oral surgeon in the panhandle."

I appreciate the time he and his staff take to make themselves available to their patients, even calling to check on me after the surgery. Even though my wisdom teeth were a bit rough looking (and one sideways) Dr. Heitzmann was able to get all 4 handled for me with no issues whatsoever. "I recently visited Bay Oral & Facial Surgery to get my wisdom teeth removed. Dr. Heitzmann performed the surgery and did an excellent job. I had a great experience with the staff, the procedure and the billing. They set clear expectations for billing and recovery. I ended up paying less than anticipated by the end of the procedure too! They not only have friendly staff, but also go the extra mile to check in after surgery. They made sure I was aware of how to contact them over the weekend if I had questions or concerns following my visit. I had the removal completed yesterday and feel great today. I'd recommend Bay Oral & Facial Surgery to my friends and family and would go back if I need other procedures in the future."

"I was referred to Dr. Heitzmann from my regular dentist after a complication during a tooth extraction. I did not know exactly what to expect or how long the recommended procedure was going to take.Upon entering the office I was greeted with an extremely caring and accommodating staff. After a very short wait period they took x-rays and then immediately to see the surgeon, Dr. Heitzmann.The doctor gave a detailed but simple explanation of what was going to take place and what I should expect. It was a painless extraction of an upper wisdom tooth with great care and expertise.Afterwards, the doctor and his staff gave specific instructions on how to care for myself after the surgery.
